Appointment of Andrew Bray as Business Development Consultant 02/03/2017

Axis Energy Projects has appointed Andrew Bray to the role of Business Development Consultant, working primarily from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Andrew will be responsible for business development activities in Asia, as well as providing consultation and advice on global business development opportunities.

With over 25 years’ experience in shipping, floating production, shipbroking and the oil and gas industry, Andrew has held Senior Management and Board Level positions at companies including Odin Marine Singapore, Premuda Asia Sdn Bhd, Clarksons Platou, and most recently, Sapura Kencana Petroleum Berhad.

Axis Energy Projects established a successful relationship with Andrew during his tenure at previous companies and are pleased to now have him on side to further the aims of the organisation on the international stage.

Of his new position, Andrew said: “I am delighted to have been engaged by Axis Energy Projects in a business development capacity. There are fantastic opportunities for organisations like Axis in Asia, with companies searching for lean technologies, experienced teams, and innovative solutions to the problems posed in floating production developments.

“Axis Energy Projects offer their clients this combination of services with an unrivalled depth of experience.

“We will be targeting floating production developments with the Axis Mooring System, Axis’ proprietary, low cost, fully weathervaning mooring system. We will also be targeting decommissioning projects with Axis’ novel solution for evacuating the contents of in-field and trunk pipelines during decommissioning.

“I am excited by the prospect of working for a Axis at a very competitive time and look forward to offering my experience to further their success.”

Axis Energy Projects conducted two major FEED studies at the end of 2016 for projects in North and West Africa, and with expansion in mind, are looking to export their expertise to new markets.

John Baross, Managing Director of Axis Energy Projects, said: “We have had an excellent relationship with Andrew for a few years and were immediately aware of his capabilities in strategy and deal making.

“Adding him to the team is a step forward for us, particularly given his location in Malaysia and the exciting opportunities in that part of the world.

“There are few people who can rival Andrew’s experience, knowledge and connections across the oil and gas and maritime industries. Therefore, we are glad to have him and take it as a vote of confidence that he has decided to join us.”
